Orson Clark; Education. After he had graduated from two years at the University of Deseret, he taught school for two years.

Interviewer: Where did he teach school?

Orson Clark: In Centerville.

Interviewer: How long did he teach school there?

Orson Clark: Just two years.

Interviewer: Ok, now on your mother. What was her educational background?

Orson Clark: The elementary school. The city school that was here in Farmington was all the education that she had.

Interviewer: What kind of occupation did your father do besides teaching? Did he farm?

Orson Clark: After he had taught for two years, he left the school teaching and went to farming. He farmed the rest of his life until he retired.

Interviewer: What age was he when he retired?

Orson Clark: Seventy-three years old.

Interviewer: What did he do when he retired?

Orson Clark: He went as an officiator in the Salt Lake Temple and officiated there for twenty-two-and-a-half years, as an officiator and a sealer.

Interviewer: On your parents, how old were they at the time that they met.

Orson Clark: Fourteen and sixteen.

Lucille Clark: Well, they knew each other all their lives. From the time that they were old enough to recognize or know anybody. They lived right in the same town, went to the same church, the same school.

Interviewer: So at that time, it was just all one school and all one ward in this area. How old were they when they got married?

Lucille Clark: They were married September 25, 1879. So, when was your father born? Your mother was born in 1861.
