Orson Clark: Father was 20 and Mother was 18.

Interviewer: Did your father go on a mission?

Orson Clark: Yes.

Interviewer: Where did he go?

Orson Clark: Iowa was his headquarters. I don't know just where. But he labored in the state of Iowa.

Interviewer: How long was he on his mission?

Orson Clark: I think two-and-a-half years.

Interviewer: Did he go on a mission for the Mormon church before or after he was married?

Orson Clark: After he was married.

Interviewer: Do you happen to know how long after?

Orson Clark: No.

Interviewer: What did your father do in the Mormon church during his life?

Orson Clark: He held nearly all of the positions in the Priesthood. He was the president of the High Priest Quorum for many years, He was in the presidency of the stake for twenty-two years.

Interviewer: Was he the president or one of the counselors?

Orson Clark: One of the counselors, First Counselor.

Interviewer: What did your parents think of the Mormon church during their lives?

Orson Clark: They were always for the church. The church came first in their lives. They were always active and held responsible positions in the church.

Interviewer: Can you think of any experiences or examples your father set for you that showed you that the church was always first in his life?

Orson Clark: He held the positions and he was always ready and there to fulfill the calling that was given.

Interviewer: How was your mother? Did she support your father in all these positions he held?
