Kindex

This is an old black-and-white original that was first owned by Jeana Whetten. Wendy Wunderly, a distant Clark cousin, also had a newer reproduction. Jeana's was so far as we know, the original.

On the back of the Whetten photo, Bryant R. Clark was identified (with spectacles and suit and tie), and it contained writing that assumed the photo was taken in Farmington UT due to its sidewalks—but upon further review in Kindex's Georgetown records, we discovered sidewalks were put in by the city/town shortly before or during World War I.

On the back of the Wunderly photo, it identified "Newell Clark home from WWI, 1919", and also referenced Marie and Julia, but it didn't explain who the other two were, at right.

Pictured in the photo are as follows, left to right, per Wendy Wunderly and Kimball Clark's followup research using both photos, FamilySearch and a phone call to David Clark:

Marie Clark (Kunz), Julia Clark (Wunderly), Newell Sirls Clark, and Bryant R. Clark, and the little girl peaking out at right is Hazel Clark (little sister of Ellsworth Clark). We believe Ellsworth likely took the photograph, due to the height of the photographer—but this can't be certain.

This is a classic group of Clark cousins gathering in Georgetown, Idaho, following the return of Newell. The father and mother of Marie, Julia, and Newell was Charles R. Clark and Mary Emma Woolley (Clark).

Bryant, however, descended from Edward Barrett Clark and Alice Randall (Edward's second plural wife), making him a first cousin to Marie, Julia, and Newell.

Ellsworth and Hazel descended from Marion Charles Clark, first son of Charles Rich Clark. Bryant (born 1902) was a first cousin once removed to Ellsworth and Hazel.

The original was among the Whetten records produced from Jeana Whetten and scanned in about December 2024 by Wendy.
