Obituary - Mrs. Eliza Porter Clark, beloved wife of Hyrum D. Clark, for twenty years a resident of Auburn died at her home at Farmington, Utah, Sunday morning June 12th after a period of ill health extending over the past two years.

Surviving is her husband who was just completing a short term mission in California, and the following children: Mrs. Avery C. Lambert of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Mary Bennion of Farmington, Heber D. Clark of Monroe, Utah, Mrs. Edna C. Erickson of Salt Lake, A. Portor Clark of Auburn, Thelma Rachel Kjarr of Salt Lake, Rhoda C. Burningham of Farmington, R. Elwin Clark of Salt Lake, Mrs. Zula C. Higgs of Layton, Utah, Mrs. Blanche C. Wilcox, O. Morrell and A. Ivins Clark all of Farmington. The eldest son, Hyrum T. Clark was killed in an accident in Star Valley in 1911.

The living descendants of Mrs. Clark number twelve children and 42 grandchildren. She also has three brothers Chas. W., Orson M., and Myron Porter all of Wyoming and all bishops and one sister Mary Porter of Arizona. She was a sister also of the late Vilate White of Thayne.

Funeral services were held at Farmington Tuesday the 14th. Bp. A. L. Clark presided. The speakers were Stake President J. H. Robinson, President Joseph W. McMurrin of the California mission, Bishop Nicholas G. Smith of Salt Lake, a long time neighbor, Bishop Heber C. Iverson of the M.I.A. general board and Bishop Clark. All paid beautiful and fitting tributes to the character and activities of the deceased. Her cheerful and loving disposition being especially emphasized.

Special musical numbers were rendered by Mrs. Thomas of the Primary general board and by the Farmington male quartet and choir.

The invocation was by Henry Wilcox of Farmington and the benediction by Thomas F. Burton of Afton.

Mrs. Eliza Clark was an active church worker all her life serving as president of Auburn primary for some thirteen years and as a Relief society president for six years. After removing to Farmington in 1908 she was made president of the Y.L.M.I.A. She also did extensive temple and genealogical work.

The floral offerings were extensive and beautiful and were sent from far and near. Interment was in the Farmington cemetery. Dedicatory prayer was offered by her son Heber.
