While attending BYU in the late 1940s I would visit my grandfather Amasa in Farmington from time to time. One weekend we went to General Conference and we stood up the whole time because the seats were already taken. I also remember walking with him on the streets of Salt Lake City, and despite being in his early eighties he would walk so fast you'd think someone was chasing him! He walked fast. He was lean and had long legs (about 5' 11" and 135 lbs dripping wet) so walking fast come naturally to him. His health and vigor has been a great example to me and all who knew him.
