Ordinance Number 6 (ammendment P. 45)

An Ordinance to regulate the Running at Large of Stock within the limits of said Village.

Be it Ordained by the Chairman and Board of the Village of Georgetown, Idaho.

Sec. 1

That it shall be unlawful for any cattle, horses, mules, sheeps, goats, hogs, or live stock of any kind, to be running at large, without a driver, herder or attendant at any time during the day or night within the corporate limits of said Village of Georgetown in the County of Bear Lake and State of Idaho, and such loose stock forthwith be impounded by the Village Police and released only upon payment by the owner thereof of all damages done by such animals, which shall be 25 cents a day per head to cattle, 10 cents a day for sheep, goats and hogs, and 25 cents a day for each horse or mule, if not so redeemed within three days after confinement, shall be sold at public auction after confinement, shall be sold at public auction after advertisement by posting notices of sale in three public places within the village for 10 days, and all, proceeds from such sale or sales, after paying the said damages and accused costs, shall be refunded to the owner of such animal on demand.
