Interviewer: Now with forty or fifty students, how did you keep them quiet?
Orson Clark: I worked them so hard they didn't have time to do anything but work.
Interviewer: What were the basic subjects that you taught to the various classes?
Orson Clark: Science, arithmetic, and algebra.
Interviewer: Now we can get to where you met your wife. How old were you when you met your wife?
Orson Clark: I don't know.
Interviewer: Do you remember where you met?
Orson Clark: At the home of some of our friends. I was about the age of sixteen when I met her.
Interviewer: What is her name?
Orson Clark: Lucille Barlow Clark.
Interviewer: How long did you go together before you were married?
Orson Clark: We dated now and again from then on, from the time I met her until we were married.
Interviewer: What year were you married?
Orson Clark: The 24th of December in 1920.
Interviewer: Where were you married?
Orson Clark: In the Salt Lake Temple.
Interviewer: Are there any particular experiences or incidents during your courting days that you thought were particularly interesting for either of you?
Orson Clark: After the time we had met, I went with other girls and she went with other boys but we were still friends. We did not go what you would call steady until within the last two or three years before we were married.
Interviewer: When you were married, where did you first live?
Orson Clark: We lived in Farmington first for a period of two years. Then we moved to Salt Lake.
