My Dear Brother & Sister & friends I am well as usal but feel sad & lonely because oure Deer Sister has been taken from us by the cruel hand of death she was verry sick ten days with the neumania I was glad she was hear whare I could care for hur she sufered much but died in peace & easy I had hur burred on my lot whare it was covred with marble whare I could visit hur lasting resting place we sent for hur too Sons & Wo so they came it was a sad seen she died the 26 the day after Christmas I miss hur verry much as She had made it hur home with me a great part of the time — but it seamed she did not hav good helth in Burkley whare she lived but hur Boys like it thare to bad but such is life the Lord Knows best
