Laura Clark Cook

Whil we were there, we stayed a week or so with Maurine. Maurine was living there then. Maurine had a home in Fountain Green, and several of his sons were there in Fountain Green at this time. I went down there for a visit or two.

We had a very nice life traveling, going to see his sister, and visiting his daughter in Colorado.

I had a very enjoyable life here in this little home with George E. Cook. We would go to Fountain Green several times, and meet his family. We went up to the University for entertainments and musical entertainments. Then he took ill and died of a heart ailment two and one-half years after we were married.

LaRue's son Sherman died in an automobile accident coming up from the airport. He had been taken to the hospital after the accident, and he lived 8 days. LaRue was sitting by his side. After he died and after Mr. Cook had passed away, LaRue came here to live with me, and I've enjoyed her company here in this little home.

Now its been 20 years since Sherman passed away, and LaRue lives here with me, and we enjoy each others company so much. I love LaRue, and she waits on me-and everything. We do go out together to the Daughters of Pioneers and so many other places. We go out to many places together. We're attentive to each other, and do the cooking, and eat together. Its a great benefit to me, and I appreciate her living with me. We entertain the Daughters of the Pioneers, and we go to Relief Society meeting together, and we go to many shows. We have a color T.V.; we enjoy that. We enjoy each other company, and I love LaRue and I love all of my children. I live in the Wasatch Ward, and I go to Relief Society all time. I'm a Relief Society teacher, and I go to Sacrament meeting always. LaRue and I go to Sunday School, and go to the temple all the time.

I've entertained the Daughters of the Pioneers here in my home also the Relief Society teachers. I've been a Relief Society teacher for over 60 years.
