Interviewer: You know the thing about cows that I used to hate was when I had a date, I milked the cows and had to clean out the barn a little bit and then I would come in there and try to get all that smell off me. Oh, that used to bother me.
Ruth Knowlton: Did you have much opportunity to date while you were in high school with all of your chores?
Orson Clark: Oh, I don't know. I just didn't care to. I took this girl out a time or two.

Interviewer: Was there much couple dating or did the young people go in crowds at that time, four or five couples together.
Orson Clark: There were some who were couples.
Interviewer: At least two couples. Including the one seated by me.
Orson Clark: There used to be several of them that had to get together in the hall, in the corner someplace.
Interviewer: What would you do for recreation when you were 15, 16, 17, and 18, here in Farmington.
Orson Clark: Lagoon was the big thing. We used to go swimming there and boating and all the other things.
Lucille Clark: Roller skating.
Orson Clark: Yeah they had roller skating, we used to go to that quite a bit.
Lucille Clark: Dancing.
