Orson Clark: Utah Woolen Mills.
Interviewer: Did you and Ford just go by yourselves?
Orson Clark: Yes.
Interviewer: What did they do, bring you back to Farmington or something?
Lucille Clark: Yes, I moved back to Mother's. We had a mother to go to.
Interviewer: Where did you go when you were peddling?
Orson Clark: Out around Bend and Burns, Oregon.
Interviewer: What were you peddling?
Orson Clark: Knit goods, sweaters, and all kinds of stuff.
Ruth Knowlton: No suits? They hadn't gone into the suit business then?
Orson Clark: Well, they had suits but we didn't do it.
Ruth Knowlton: You stayed with blankets and sweaters.
Orson Clark: It was mostly blankets and sweaters.
Interviewer: Would you peddle in town or to farmers?
Orson Clark: Oh, no. We'd go out to the mills. That's lumber country We would go to the stores and catch these people that would buy.
Ruth Knowlton: Did you do quite well that summer?
Orson Clark: Not too well. Things were hard. They were rough. Bend didn't have too much work. Oh, they would live but that was all. They just got by.
Interviewer: You didn't bring home a lot of money?
Orson Clark: No.
Interviewer: What did you do when you got back home?
Orson Clark: Went back to work again.
Interviewer: How did you enjoy the summer? Did you have any interesting experiences?
