Life or Mary Elizabeth Clark Robinson

Final Page—

(At this point can we please return to the old manuscript and follow through from the center-top of page 3 there, connecting up with "each destined for a life-long career in midwifery..." I am sorry that pressure for time makes this necessary, but hope it can be done smoothly. Use option about adding the poem, "Not Understood." Feel free to revise, change, or eliminated. I have added details about the Clark home life for the sake or variety and general family interest, perhaps at the expense of coherence and unity. If it seems to unbalanced, please delete some of the description. There are other sources for this, including the following "bibliography" to which I am indebted for the information used:

1.-- Farmington Ward Records--Film no. 6284 at the SLC Genealogical Library. (Also Georgetown Ward Records.)

2.--BRIEF HISTORY OF FARMINGTON by George Quincy Knowlton, compiled and edited by his daughter, Janetta K. Robinson--Call no 929.227/F 1 H 2k in same library. (Especially pages 16,22, 50, 58.)

3. Biography of Ezra T. Clark by Annie Clark Tanner in the Church Historian's Library--call no Res. M-270 05922 Journal (Biography of Edward B. Clark and/of Joseph Robinson are also in this library, as is the Patriarchal Blessing of Mary E. Clark Robinson (under Mary Elizabeth Clark) and others of the family, of course.)

4-- EAST OF ANTELOPE ISLAND-- published by the Davis County Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

5--SWEET LOVE REMEMBERED by Helen Cortez Stafford, and Valiant Hearts by Julia Rich Cole, for the insight into life in Bear River Valley, where descendants of Laura Clark Phelps (Ezra T.'s sister) lived, in particular the Charles C. Rich family.

6--Account of the accident at Mill Creek written by W.O. Robinson in a letter to his sister, May R. (Mary Elizabeth Robinson) Porter

7--Diaries and private memoirs of Mary E.R. Porter.

8--Letter from Bryant A. Robinson as quoted in text.

9--Voluntary information by Amasa Lyman and wife, Susan Duncan Clark during conversations with the author; also from May R. Porter and Albert C. Robinson.

10--Telephone conversations with Mrs. (Aunt) Laura C. (Silver) Cook and her daughter, Mrs. LaRue C. Bowen, and expert in pioneer lore, particularly of the Clark Family. These conversations provided the impetus and vision which improved the original manuscript very much.

NOTE:--Please eliminate the foot-note on page 1 of revised mss. I have a suspicious feeling that I may have confused the baptism and birth dates of Arthur Stayner. Any reference to his age had better be deleted.

Aunt Laura suggested that a photograph of Mary E. be added to the printed circular. Am trying to locate a suitable one. Please return if I have to send an original, whether you decide to use it or not. THANK YOU.
