Farmington Man Dies Following Year's Illness

Eugene Clark, 58, well known Farmington farmer and father of Sherman Clark, University of Utah student and athlete, died Sunday at his residence in Farmington following a year's illness of paralysis.

Sherman, one of his five surviving children, is a candidate for president of the university student body. Mr. Clark was born in Farmington March 20, 1873 and spent his entire life there. He was a prominent farmer and Churchman, being a high pries of the L.D.S. church at the time of his death.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wodow, Mrs. Sadie Sessions Clark, and the following children: Sherman and Kenneth E. Clark, Salt Lake; Elwood and Whitney Clark, Farmington; Mrs. Mildren Clark Anderson, Preston, Idaho; four grandchildren and thirteen brothers and sisters. Joseph, Hyrum, Amasa L., Edward B. Clark, Farmington; Nathan Clark, Bountiful; Horace Clark, Ogden; Charles Clark, Morgan; Wilford Clark, Georgetown, Idaho; Mrs. Sarah Knowlton, Mrs. Annie Tanner and Mrs. Laura Silver, Salt Lake, and Mrs. Alice Steed, Syracuse.

Funeral services will be held in the Farmington Central ward chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m., with interment in Farmington city cemetery.
