Hold meeting in morning and evening. I discoursed on repentance in the morning meeting and we all read some from the Book of Mormon. Book of Mosiah. In the evening we read the B. of M. In the afternoon I waited for the Arabs whom I thought would come, but they did not come.

Received post today. Letter from Clara Sanders, two "Deseret News," one Clipper Study; practice speaking in the City.

Tuesday

Early in the morning I study; go in the city practice speaking. In afternoon go in the city also and take a walk with a couple of Arabs; we went along the seashore and to a bridge that crosses with Keycow river. In evening Mr. Gisser comes and we study English and Arabic. I also, conversed on the Gospel today and distributed some tracts. I lent a book—Robert’s Gospel: to an Arab.

This has been a beautiful day.

Go down town and study Arabic with the natives; Hand out a few tracts. Receive the “clipper” Take a lesson in Arabic. Study Arabic in afternoon on the side of Mt. Carmel. We held meeting this evening.

Wrote and posted letters to my Parents and to Elder Naegle, Berne. Study Arabic; in the evening practice reading and speaking with Mr. Gisser. Hand a few tracts.
