Dear MOther: have received your letter written at Manti, partly and finished at Farmington. It came with news form Morgan, and with some news papers and a Juvenile, a package of cards containing articles of Faith on the back, four Voice of Warnings, and one Book of Mormon. Quite a bunch of mail. I was pleased that you keep doing work in the temple. (You do good in the example to many others who would do well to follow the example.

I was glad to hear that father is improving and that Alice and her sons are well. Good! Mary Elizabeth is excused for not writing. Yes, I hope to receive a letter at least occasionally from the old home. Yes, I have met Bishop Madsen. He is a jolly old Bishop. The Gospel makes people happy when they live up to its requirements. With some that happiness is in the manner of a sweet and quiet joy that pervades their soul and shows itself in their countenances. It comes to those who are laboring for those blessings that some turn from when they "choose darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil."

I had not sealed my letter to Arnasa, so I send this to you.

Remember me to all,

I am
Dear Mother,
Yours Affectionately
C.R. Clark
