G: What have you done since your retirement then?
C: About as soon as we got settled there, they called us into the temple as temple workers in the Salt Lake Temple. We were there for practically nine years. Two and a half years I was a sealer in the Salt lake Temple. I had a sick spell. It was just too much for me. After they released me, they called us on a mission down to Florida so we went down there for six months. That was in 1972 and 1973 I guess. Other than that we just go to the temple. Up until lately we've been going twice a week. We've cut down now to one time a week. Age is catching up to us.
G: Tell me about your marriage.
C: I met this girl when I was in high school. We went together and just off and on for several years. While I was going to college, she took a nursing course and she was a nurse. When I got through high school and after I stayed out a year from school, I decided to get married. She and I were ready. So we got married and a year later we had a child, a girl, come to our home. She lives right next to here with us. Then we went five years before we had another one. Then we had two two years apart and then one five years again. In all we had three girls and three boys. The one girl only got two years of college. That was at the time of the war and she was drafted in the war service and then got married when she got out. However, she is a librarian in the school right now. All of these girls and all of these boys with their companions had a college education. That is quite a few, three boys and two girls with college degrees. The boys have all been on missions. All of them married in the temple. So we think we're turning out a pretty good product.
G: You can be proud of your family.
C: We are. Everyone of our children that have been married have married in the temple. Everyone of our grandchildren of the boys that are old enough have been on missions. This girl that you saw the picture of when you came in has been on a year and a half mission. So we think that we have a pretty good family that way.
G: Thank you very much, Brother Clark.
