SUMMARY OF CHURCH ACTIVITIES

First recorded blessing was by Phileman Merrill January 5, 1860.

Baptised April 27, 1867 by Truman Leonard.

Confirmed a member of the church on the same day.

Ordained an Elder 1874, and received endowment December 4, 1874, in the Endowment House.

Married Wealthy Richards on September 25, 1879– ceremony performed by her father, Franklin Dewey Richards.

Attended a meeting called by Bishop John W. Hess of all the boys to organize into an association. Thomas J. Steed was made president and Joseph S. Clark, Moroni Hess and Peter Christensen were officers. This was about 1872 or 1873. Later I served as Second Councilor to James Loynd, First Councilor to Joseph E. Robinson, and then as President of the Association of the M. I. A. From 1875 to 1879 I served as Secretary to James H. Wilcox, President of Y. M. M. I. A. 

My first Missionary work was with President George F. Richards in the M. I. A. including all organizations from Farmington to Hooper.

Stake Home Missionary from 1880 to 1881.

Called with Brother Mads Christensen to visit all the families in Farmington, 1882.

Ordained a Seventy by Ezra T. Clark, Senior President of the Fortieth Quorum, in 1875.

Served as Secretary of an organization of all Seventies of three Quorums, 40th, 56th and 74th, with James H. Wilcox as president – 1881 – 1882.

Ward teacher for about thirty years.

Ordained a High Priest on May 9, 1886 by Joel Parrish.
