Orson Clark: No, they weren't.
Lucille Clark: We had something to eat.
Orson Clark: We raised gardens.
Interviewer: Did you have many animals yourself?
Orson Clark: I had a few. As I remember, I turned three off on that affair.
Interviewer: Did you have beef cattle or milk cows?
Orson Clark: I milked a few cows.
Interviewer: Were you selling milk at the time?
Lucille Clark: Yes.
Interviewer: Did you have pigs and other types or livestock or just the cows?
Orson Clark: No. When I bought the place from my father, the sow went with it. But I didn't keep pigs.
Interviewer: Were you farming with horses?
Orson Clark: Yes.
Interviewer: How many teams did you have?
Orson Clark: I had one team that went with the place. That was all I needed.
Interviewer: What kind of horses were they?
Orson Clark: Percherons. Good work horses.
Interviewer: Were you using work horses all the time you farmed here?
Orson Clark: Yes.
Interviewer: When did tractors first begin to spread through Farmington?
Orson Clark: I had a tractor for the last two or three years.
Interviewer: Did you get rid of your horses then or did you get a tractor besides the horses?
