1865--April 14, Abraham Lincoln assassinated.

1865--June 6, Amasa Lyman Clark born in Farmington to Mary Stevenson and Ezra T. Clark.

1869--MAy 10, First Transcontinental Railroad completed at Promontory, Utah.

1876--Alexander Graham Bell exhibited the telephone at Philadelphia.

1877--Prophet Brigham Young died.

1878--A. L. Clark, a member of the first Primary organized by Aurelia Spencer Rogers.

1879--Edison invented the electric light bulb.

1883-4--A. L. Clark attended B.Y. Academy at Provo.

1884-5-A. L. Clark attended the University of Utah.

1885--December 16, Alice Charlotte Steed and A.L. Clark married in the Logan Temple.

1887--November 17, A. L. Clark left for a mission to the Southern States.

1890--On his return, he worked on the family farm.

1892--March 31, Davis County Bank organized with A.L. Clark as Cashier and a total capital of $25,000.

1892--A. L. Clark appointed Farmington City treasurer, position he held for the next twenty years.

1893--The Salt Lake Temple dedicated. Amasa Clark was in attendance.

1895--Alice Steed Clark died.

1896--Utah finally made a state.

1896--Lagoon Resort established by the Hamburgers.

1897--March 31, Susan Duncan and A. L. Clark were married.

1900--A. L. Clark selected to be Superintendent of the Davis Stake Sunday School. At this time all Davis County was one Stake.

1900--A.L. Clark, representing the Davis County Bank, became a member of the American Bankers Association and the Utah Bankers.

1903--Wright Brothers flew the first plane at Kittyhawk,, N.C.

1904--The Clark family went to the World Fair at St. Louis where they saw the Kittyhawk on display.

1908--12--A. L. Clark served as mayor of Farmington. During this time the electric lights were brought into town.

1915--A. L. Clark set apart as Bishop of Farmington  Ward, which position he held for the next 16 years.

1915--The Boy Scouts of America organized a Farmington troop. Bishop Clark was an ardent and constant supporter of this program.

1915--Utah State Capitol Building completed.

1925--Bishop Clark called to the Central States for a short term mission.

1945--April, A. L. Clark made president of the Davis County Bank, the position he held until his death.

1960--A. L. Clark presented a new bicycle on the occasion of his 95th birthday. This he finds a convenience despite the fact that today is the Space Age.

1965--The Great Salt Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America awarded A. L. Clark an Appreciation Award for ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF LIFE AND SERVICE TO BOYHOOD AND FELLOWMAN.

1968--His extraordinary life of service to his fellowmen came to a close on May 25, twelve days before his 103rd Birthday.
