Laura Clark Cook
Laura We traveled to New York on the train. When we were there, we once rented an apartment with all of our family. LeGrande at that time was a baby. A few miles before we reached New York Daddy met us, thus he was on the train to see got safely there.
Keith What was it like when you got to New York?
Laura New York was a fabulous place, the high buildings and the beautiful places to go to. We many times went on trips on the ferry up the Hudson River, to Bear Mountain another time to the Palisades and to New Jersey.
Keith Did you see any of the historical Mormon places while you were there?
Laura Yes we did, we saw many places that were very historical places.

Keith What did you think of New York when you were living there?
Laura We were just breath taken with the beautiful places that we went to. We went to Operas, and to amusement parks, and to Coney Island, and saw the beautiful places there. We even went out on a ship out to the statue of Liberty, and walked up the steps right to the hand of the statue. We could see all over through the windows there, and we saw all over the river, and the ocean, and the city. We went to the church's Sunday School in the city of New York, at Columbus Circle. Then we went to Sacrament Meeting over at Brooklyn. We'd have to take the subway, and it would take about an hour and a quarter to make the trip from New York over to Brooklyn to Sacrament meeting. This was quite an experience. Another great experience that we had was having the elders at our home. Our home was up on 181 Street, and the elders, when
