Orson Clark-11/23/81 - Pg 21

War II? Or just before World War II?

Orson Clark: Yes, before.

Interviewer: That's what I though. The land had not been farmed for more than a generation had it?

Orson Clark: No.

Interviewer: You made a good living from grain and hay. Did you grow hay for your own cattle or did you just sell the hay?

Orson Clark: Both, for the cattle and for selling.

Interviewer: But milk was a good cash crop. That was steady wasn't it? It didn't fluctuate.

Orson Clark: Yes that was the thing.

Interviewer: What about potatoes?

Orson Clark: I raised potatoes two years. The first year I really made and the next year I couldn't sell a one.
