H. D. Clark Passes Away

H. D. Clark, who passed away recently at his home in Farmington was one of the early pioneers of Star Valley. He settled in Auburn in 1888 and has owned real estate there continuously since that time. Until recently he owned upwards of 1200 acres of land in the meadow near Auburn.

He was always active in civic affairs and also church affairs. He served two terms as County Commissioner. He was a member of the Auburn Bishopric and a Stake High Councilman at Star Valley. A year ago he completed a two year mission to California as an L. D. S. missionary.

He was always strong and robust and never had any serious illness until four weeks before his death. While crossing the street he was struck by a boy on a bicycle, and received injuries from which he never recovered. He passed peacefully away at the Dee Hospital, in Ogden July 2, 1938.

Surviving him are his widow, Mary Robinson Clark, seventeen children, 64 grand children and several great grand children.

He was buried in the Farmington Cemetery.
